Having failed to get action on his complaint against a local BJP leader, a farmer from Ukayla village of Vidisha district knocked the doors of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan.
The farmer identified as Devanand along with other natives of the village reached the BJP state office on Tuesday and submitted application to Chouhan asking him to intervene for getting his land freed from a BJP leader of the village.
“I own land in the village that by all Government records also belong to me but former Vidisha district media in-charge of BJP Shailendra Singh Baghel has forcibly acquired it,” he added.
Devanand further said that when he stopped Baghel from plowing in his field he abused him and threatened him of his life. “Baghel says that he is district media in-charge of ruling party and his wife is Government prosecutor and they have high political connections. No one could do any harm to him but if I would go to lodge his report in the police, then no one would be able to trace me,” he added.
He said that he fear for his life as Baghel was powerful and police were not taking any action against him. “He could kill me any time anywhere. Due to his terror in the village no one is coming in the open to support me and to give testimony against him. I am not only hopeful but confident that you would take action against him and would help me in getting back my land,” he added.
He said to Chouhan that his action would not only provide him justice but would also send a good message in the society.
