Family members of a 26-year-old youth protested by keeping his body at Lily talkies square who was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Barkhedi on Tuesday evening.
The youth identified as Amir Khan had an injury in his throat. The police involved in the investigation are still ascertaining whether it was murder or suicide. In the preliminary investigation, it is found that the youth stabbed himself, but his brother has accused the relatives of a young woman of stabbing her and throwing her on the road.
Amir, a resident of Barkhedi, used to work as a tailor. He has a shop at home. On Tuesday around 5:30 pm, Amir was found in critical condition near Badwali Masjid. There were serious wounds on his neck and chest. Locals informed the family members and took him to Charak Hospital from where he was referred to Hamidia. Where he died during treatment at around 2.30 pm in the night on Tuesday.
SHO Jehangirabad Shahwaz Khan said that the matter is suspicious as the youth was found in critical condition. Amir entered the house with a knife and attacked the daughter. To save her life, the girl went inside the room and locked herself. During this, he stabbed himself on the throat and chest.
At the time of the incident, the girl's mother, aunt, aunt and younger sister were in the house. While the grandparents were on the terrace and the children were playing. FSL team and technical assistance is being taken in the matter.
Amir's brother Adil has been accused girlfriend's father Nasir, brother-in-law and brothers Shahrukh and Mosin, who live near Badwali Masjid, had beaten up the brother 15 days ago.
