Having failed to get justice from almost all the corners, a 22-year-old rape victim woman attempted suicide by consuming poisonous substance in front of the Chief Minister’s residence early on Thursday morning.
As soon as the security personnel witnessed the woman at around 6.30 am, they rushed her to Hamidia hospital, where her condition is reportedly serious.
Police sources said that the woman hails from Satna and she alleged that son of an ASI posted in Satna district Nazeer has outraged her modesty twice. With this complaint, she has approached police officials several times, but her complaint was not entertained.
First, she reached the police personnel at the CM House and urged for meeting the Chief Minister, but they refused. On this, she took out some poisonous substance from her handbag and consumed. Soon after consuming the tablets, she became unconscious. Sensing the situation, the security guards immediately rushed her to Hamidia hospital.
Soon after receipt of information, leader of the Opposition in the State assembly Satyadev Katare reached Hamidia hospital and met the victim woman. later, while talking to mediapersons, he alleged that the law and order situation is dilapidated in the State and the police officials are out of the control of the administration.
