Experts expressed their views over ‘Independence’ and ‘Independence from Ancient to the Contemporary Period’ on the sixth day of ‘Yaad Karo Qurbaani’ lecture series at Sanchi Buddhist and Indic Studies University.
Swami Adhyatmananda said that the Nation stands before the person and the society and it is important to be connected with our roots to understand the meaning of sacrifice.
He said that introspection is important for the integrity of the Independence. Dutifulness and selfless service are crucial weapons.
Swami further added that conservation of the culture is necessary to strengthen the feeling of independence. He called upon the people to keep loyalty for the country, language and the culture and to always remember the Mantra of humanity. He said that we should always remember that we have no existence without the nation.
Pandit Vasant Gadgil said that Manu has given the information of the true use of Sanatan Dharma and we should not misuse it. Self is very essential in the independence. There should be a spirit of patriotism in the meditation and the pronunciation. Independence received by knowledge is priceless because knowledge is god.
HC Sen said that the mind is not destroyed by religion. Sanskaar and Karma gets destroyed by mind. He said that Raisen district has played a vital role in the freedom struggle. People have participated in the active struggle against exploitation of the Nawabs or the Englishmen.
