Energy Minister and in-charge of Singrauli district Rajendra Shukla has said that 4-lane work of Sidhi-Singrauli National Highway should be completed early. He directed to pass land awards within time-limit. Shukla was addressing a meeting of District Planning Committee at Singrauli on Friday.
The meeting also passed a proposal for establishing a grand statue of Swami Vivekananda at Singrauli. MP Reeti Pathak, MlAs Ramlallu Bais, Rajendra Meshram, Saraswati Singh and Kamleshwar Patel were present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed to further improve public distribution system in the district. Shri Shukla also sought information about Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Power supply situation was also reviewed. The Energy Minister directed to ensure strict action against power pilferers. The meeting discussed preparations for Krishi Mahotsav to be held from September 25 to October 20. Shukla said that participation of public representatives should be ensured in Krishi Mahotsav. He directed to widely publicise visiting schedule of Krishi Raths. It was informed that 800 tonne urea is available in the district.
