So we have endeavoured to bring back that trend to the city and spread it amongst the youngsters.”

More than a thousand varieties are available at the emporium and there has been an array of vibrant colours like golden, red, blue and many more. Moreover some of the batuas have been adorned with the zari work, kundan work, mirror work, pearl work and colourful threads as well. The cost of these purses begins from Rs360 to Rs1870.

This is not all. The interesting thing about these batuas is that they have been exclusively designed by students and designers of National Institute of Designing (NID) and National Institute of Fashion Training (NIFT). The designers have given a new looks to the purses. Keeping in mind the unique factor of Bhopali Purses they have experimented with the current fashion technology which has given the purses even more beautiful appearance.

One of the unique purses is ‘Nariyal Srifal purse’ it is a coconut shaped batua which is usually used for giving shagun. Sharma further said, “These purses even now can be carried on any attire yet they look stunning and trendy.”
