The exhibition centered on 108 forms of 'Goddess Shakti' will be held in city to mark the lokrang. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday at BHEl Dusshera Ground.

It is to be noted that the exhibition is being organised under the 33rd lokrang Festival by Culture Department, Madhya Pradesh Government. The exhibition will be open from 2 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

108 names of Goddesses have been described in different stories of various Puranas, but in the ‘world system’ there is a mention of ‘cathartic source’, which is extremely important and secretive. An exhibition of these 108 names of goddess of strength has been attempted by the Academy in the exhibition.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition is being organized with the aegis of the Triveni Art and Archeology Museum, Ujjain. Based on the three streams of Indian tradition, Shaiva, Shakta and Vaishnav, the museum was established in Ujjain on the occasion of Simhastha by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Culture Department in 2016.

For the first time in this museum, 108 paintings of the Goddess were painted, which was displayed in the Museum's exhibition gallery. The exhibition of the pictures is being organized for the Bhopalites and other visitors on the occasion of lokrang. These painting are based on the Rajathani art form by Kailash Chandra Sharma, a famous painter of Rajasthani paintings.

Madhya Pradesh Government Culture Department organizes the lokrang on the occasion of Republic Day every year from January 26 to 30. Other than the exhibition there will be a craft fair as well as various colourful performances will be held on the occasion.
