Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that review of execution concerning action plan of Narmada Seva Mission should be carried out every month. Progress report should be put onto the Chief Minister’s desk board. All works to be done in a year under Narmada Seva Mission will be put before the public on May 15, 2018.
‘Ped lagao Yatrayen’ will be taken out between June 5 (World Environment Day) and 15 in the State. Chief Minister Chouhan was holding a meeting of Narmada Seva Mission on Tuesday at Mantralaya. Chouhan handed over copy of action plan of Narmada Seva Mission to concerned Ministers and Senior Officers. Cabinet members and Senior Administrative Officers were present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi released ‘Narmada Pravah’ an action plan of Narmada Seva Mission in Amarkantak. Since then, he is quoting the Narmada Seva Yatra as a change from public participation everywhere. Now it is a challenge for us to execute action plan. Narmada Seva Mission will become an example in river conservation and environment protection.
All Ministers will review works every month under Narmada Seva Mission in department concerned. Website for registration for plantation on Narmada shores will be launched on May 24. Six crore saplings will be planted on both the sides under the mission. Forests, rural development and urban administration department have chalked out an action plan for plantation. All district collectors will bring map for plantation to be carried out in their district in workshop to be held in Bhopal on May 31.
Chouhan said that pits’ digging and availability of saplings should be ensured in advance. ‘Ped lagao Yatra’ will be taken out in all districts for creating public awareness. Common man will fill up resolution form for plantation. It will be decided on June 20 that who will plant sapling and the place for it. Plant protectors will be deputed for protection of saplings after plantation and necessary facilities will be provided. He said that preparations for plantation will be checked on July 01 through satellite imaging on Narmada shores. Plantation will be made on July 02 and again on July 03, it would be seen through satellite imaging that how many saplings have been planted.
