The anti-evasion team of the excise department on Saturday morning seized mobile phone sets from Indore airport. The price of seized mobile phones has been estimated to be around Rs 8 lakh.
According to sources, two luggage of Videophone Company had arrived at the city airport on Saturday morning. The department officials upon checking both the luggage found, valid documents of one luggage, while there was no valid document for another.
Upon checking this luggage, the excise officials came across mobile phone sets that had been kept in as many as 28 cartons. The price of mobile phone sets has been estimated at Rs 8 lakh. The department has seized the mobile phone sets and is planning to take legal action against the company.
