Retired army personnel, accused of double murder was sent to jail under judicial custody after being produced in the court on Monday. Enraged over a property dispute the accused shot dead two persons at Awadhpuri area under Govindpura police station area on Sunday.
Additional Superintendent of Police Zone 2 Riyaz Iqbal said that the premises of both deceased and the accused would be searched for the property documents, which could reveal details of fraud committed by Harnaryan Shrivas, who was the owner of the property and which lead to the worsening of the issue leading to death of the two persons.
Notably, enraged over property dispute, retired army personnel Harinarayan Singh had shot dead two persons Jitendra and Nirbhay at Awadhpuri area on Sunday.
Documents of the property would be checked which could help in revealing the truth behind the issue. During the investigation, police found that the accused had developed the property. He used to collect rent from the tenants for past 8-10 years.
Two complaints lodged by the accused with the Govindpura police have been found in which he had claimed that the Aditya Upadhyay has harassed him and claimed that have bought the property and owns the property. Police have found that the deceased Jitendra Bhargava was booked for two crimes with the Govindpura police.
Accused Harinarayan Singh have told the police that the he had the documents of his house and they could verify the documents.
According to the police, accused Harinarayan Singh had a property dispute with his neighbour for long and on Sunday, after a heated exchange with his neighbours, he opened fire at two persons, who later died on their way to hospital.
The accused had bought the property around 13 years ago from Harnarayan for `1 lakh, but the owner Harnarayan Shrivas sold the property to Aditya Upadhyay around three months ago and later on the issue of ownership of the property, a fight occurred between the two.
