The music lovers of the city experienced splendid performances here on Tuesday at Ravindra Bhawan Auditorium.
A musical concert of old songs ‘Ek Shaam lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar Aur Mohammad Rafi Ke Naam’ was organised by Shama Fans Club, Bhopal presenting their songs which have become evergreen.
While talking to The Pioneer, organiser of the concert, Ikram Ul Haq said, “We are organising the concert for the first time and expect a good crowd. We basically are presenting the songs from the decade of seventies and eighties, as these songs bring us joy and even the audiences enjoy listening to the lyrics again and again.”
While elaborating, he said, “I have more plans in the pipeline. I am planning to present a concert dedicated to Mohammad Aziz and Nitin Mukesh.”
The group presented about 30 songs featuring the duet songs of Mohammad Rafi and lata followed by Mukesh and lata and the famous duo of Kishore Kumar and lata.
Experiencing the panache of the songs by lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi, the audience enjoyed the concert whole-heartedly. Being the wondrous presentation for the old music lovers, the show evoked a pretty good response.
Songs like, Jo wada Kiya Wo, Kisi Raah Kisi Mod, Dil Ne Fir Yaad Kiya, Kitne Atal Tere Irade and more were sung by the participants which left the attendees impressed.
