Baroda Kisan Pakhwada & Baroda Kisan Diwas are unique events celebrated with an objective of reaching out to the farmers’ community. These events are being celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of the farmers’ fraternity to the society and to the economy of the country.
While talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Zonal Head Bhopal Surendra Sharma said that after the successful endeavor last year, this year we are celebrating Baroda Kisan Pakhwada & Baroda Kisan Diwas with renewed enthusiasm. Last year as many as 250000 and 12000 farmers participated in various outreach programs held by the Bank of Baroda Branches all over India and Bhopal zone level respectively.
There were very positive and enthusiastic responses to this one of its kind initiative from various quarters.
The objectives were- a special day for celebrating farmer’s contribution towards growth of country and our Bank’s business. Appreciate long term associated farmer customers / senior citizens farmers of our Bank for maintaining their trust with us.
As a part of the ‘Baroda Kisan Pakhwada’ various programs are organized by various branches of the Bank such Farmers’ Fairs, Night Meets in villages, health check-up camps for farmers as well as cattle, Farmers’ Conferences, Financial Literacy Camp, Felicitation Events for farmers etc. Baroda Kisan Pakhwada and Baroda Kisan Divas aim at increasing levels / flows of advances in rural and agriculture sector.
New Initiatives by the bank include- a new agriculture digital platform by the name & style “Baroda Kisan” has been launched recently by the Bank that would take care of all the basic needs of the farmer.
This platform provides services such as weather forecast, mandi prices, soil health and host of other advisory services that would benefit the
farmers.
The bank has made a various tie up arrangements with several corporates and Government agencies towards assisting farmers, suppliers, vendors through various financial products.
