Evaluation of +2 answer sheets begins

Evaluation of answer sheets of this year’s controversy-scarred Plus II examinations began at 47 centres across the State on Wednesday.

The evaluation is scheduled to be completed by April 22, the results are likely to be declared in May. “Around 12,000 evaluators have been appointed to rate the answer sheets,” a Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) official said. The evaluation would take place in two phases with the first phase ending on April 12.

However, as per the decision of the Higher Education Dept following the leak of two question papers, evaluation of the answer sheets of residential colleges would take place at special venues, added the official.

Meanwhile, the department has decided on reevaluation by the Chief Examiner of the answer sheets scoring more than 90 per cent of marks, said sources. A decision regarding non-declaration of the names of top 20 scorers would be taken later, the sources said.
