The business process management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) was launched on Tuesday at Patel Group of Institutions. The ERP was launched by Chairperson Priti Patel at the college premises.

During the launch, students from various branches and faculty members of the college were present. While addressing the students and faculty members during the launch of the ERP, Priti Patel said that it is one of the greatest achievements for the college.

She further said that it is like another feather in the cap. Priti Patel while addressing the programme gave a brief about the ERP. She informed that ERP is business process management software that allows an organisation to use a system of integrated applications to manage the business and automate many back office functions related to technology, services and human resources.

ERP software integrates all facets of an operation including product planning, development, manufacturing, sales and marketing in a single database, application and user interface.

It consists of multiple enterprise software modules and each ERP module is focused on one area of business processes, such as product development or marketing.

Besides, a business will typically use a combination of different modules to manage back-office activities and tasks including distribution process management, supply chain management, services knowledge base, configure, prices, improve accuracy of financial data, facilitate better project planning, automate employee life-cycle, standardise critical business procedures and more.

During the launch Vice Chairman of the college Ajit Patel was also present.
