It was a delightful and energetic Sunday evening for the Bhopalites. The art lovers enjoyed an evening with calm classical music along with the mesmerizing Bharatnatyam dance.
Under Uttaradhikar series of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, two musical events were organised at the museum premises. The flute recital by Chetan Joshi from Noida and the Bharatnatyam duet performance by Nelson Aeraikal and Anjali Mohandas from Bhopal gave performances on Sunday.
Both the performances made audience totally enthralled. The evening began with the flute recital by Chetan Joshi. As he began playing the purity of his continuous riyaaz and his love towards music was clearly seen in his performance.
Next performance was given by Nelson and Anjali on stage. They defined the beauty and elegance of Bharatnatyam on stage. Their movements on the rhythm appeared really smooth to the eyes of the audiences. They put their expressive eyes to good effect to convey the calmness of their performance.
Besides, the performance by Bharatnatyam dancers Nelson and Anjali maintained the attention of the audiences. Through their performance, it was clear that both of them are blessed with stage presence and are dancers to watch with ecstasy. Both of them gave a delightful mosaic of movements, whose geometry, lines and format are near perfect.
Abundance of lively skill, a smile that flashed at appropriate moments, the well-defined perception, Anjali Mohandas and Nelson created a bright natyam.
An excellent blend of sensuous movement and graceful footwork with absolute control on rhythm described the performance of dancers.
Moreover, the virtuosity of the dancers and the tenderness in music was reflected in the complex footwork during the performance.
The costumes, make-up and presentation of the performers left the audiences spell-bounded.
The audiences were enthralled with the performance and enjoyed one of the dances belonging to ancient times live.
