large-scale preparations are on in all districts to ensure success of mass Surya Namaskar and Pranayam programme marking Yuva Diwas, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 13. The State Government has directed all district Collectors and divisional officers to ensure maximum participation of students and people in Surya Namaskar programme.
School Education Minister Paras Chandra Jain would undertake Surya Namsakar at Government School for Excellence, Ujjain. Surya Namaskar will start simultaneously in entire State at 11 am and will last till 12.30 pm. It is the 8th mass Surya Namaskar since year 2004.
The Government has directed Collectors to urge, MPs, MlAs, Mayors, Chairpersons of Zila and Janpad Panchayats, Nagar Palikas, Nagar Panchayats and corporators to participate in the programme. Heads of educational institutions have also been directed to see that a Minister or other public representative participate in the programme to be held in their institutions. The Government has directed to conduct Surya Namaskar in every educational institution and hostel as per schedule.
Students of class V to VIII will participate in it. Students of class I to IV will not participate in Surya Namaskar but will be presence as spectators. It will be aired live from all primary channels of radio and Vividh Bharti. Message of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be broadcast. Collectors have been directed to ensure that radios remain on at all venues of Surya Namaskar till its entire duration.
