Last year, the Minor Forest Produce Association had collected about 35 thousand quintals of Mahua from the entire state. The union also made efforts to sell it in other countries. The first order came from the UK where 17 quintals of Mahua were exported from Kesara in Narmadapuram. It was sold at the rate of about Rs.105 per kg. According to the official, this time there is a preparation to send up to 200 tonnes of Mahua abroad.
