A 60-year-old man died after being hit by a running train at railway tracks near Shalimar Apartment under Habibganj police station area on Tuesday. Police said the deceased, identified as Punjab Rao, was found dead near a railway track near Shalimar apartments. After spotting the body by Habibganj, GRP personnel informed the police.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under Section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police. Police said Rao was posted as a clerk with Housing Board. He went for a morning walk on Monday morning but never returned. Police said that the death remained suspicious as it was a matter of investigation that the deceased was hit by the train or someone had killed him.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old married woman allegedly committed by setting herself ablaze at Mahuakhedi village under Berasia police station area on Tuesday. According to the Berasia police, Kirshna Bai set herself ablaze and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries. The deceased got married few months ago. The reason behind the suicide remained unknown. Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the police sent the body for the post mortem. The police registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
