In the memory of Noor Mohammad Yas, an event ‘Ek Shaam Mohammad Yas Ke Naam’ was organised here on Friday at State Museum.
The event was organised by Sabaras Academy.
In this program, senior and young writers of senior poet spoke on the personality and artistry of Noor Mohammad Yas. On this occasion, Sharia and literary writer Zia Farooqi read out the letter about Noor Mohammed Yas.
At the beginning of the programme, Nusrat Mehdi, the Patron of the Academy, highlighting the art personality of Noor Mohammmad Yas. She said that as some poets have a talent of expressing their feelings through poetry but keep away themselves from this world, this is how Noor Mohammad was.
Mahmud Malik said that the name of 'Noor Mohammed Yas' is important in the world of ghazals. There is also a freshness in his poetry and he has never taken the inspiration from fashions, but he also kept his rivalry from traditions.
Young writer Moustakim Raza, paying a note on "Noor Mohammed Yas and his poetry" on Noor Mohammed Yas said that the name of Noor Mohammed Yas is remembered by all the poets as his contribution is immense and cannot be forgotten. Yumna Javed took a look at the poetry of Noor Mohammed Yas and recited some of his poetries.
On this occasion, the famous Ghazal singers and comrades of Jawari spent money with Ghazal music of Noor Mohammed Yas while Shoaib Ali Khan made a ghazal from Tarannum.
The program was conducted by Rizwan Uthin Farruki in a beautiful fashion. At the end of the program Sayyid Abid Hussain expressed gratitude to the audience.
