Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that an important role has been ensured for public participation in prevention of corona infection in the State. This has resulted in increased public awareness. People have been inspired to follow the corona protocol. People not only adopted measures to prevent corona, but also inspired others to follow suit.
Cooperation from social organisations, voluntary organizations, public representatives, social workers, doctors, paramedical staff and citizens of different areas of the community has helped to accelerate the pace of elimination of corona infection. Public participation has also helped in the proper treatment of corona victims.
Chouhan says that the State Government is making continuous efforts to put an end to corona infection and black fungus with public support.
With the help of social organizations, awareness was generated and proactive measure was taken to identify people suffering from corona at the initial level under the ‘Kill Corona’ campaign. Testing capacity was increased in the State. Also, the time taken for testing results was reduced.
The District Command and Control Center constantly monitored home isolation. Institutional Isolation was done by establishing Covid Care Centers. Health infrastructure was strengthened. Hospital facilities were enhanced. Beds, easy supply of oxygen, equipment and medicines useful in treatment were arranged on war footing. Vaccination drive has been enhanced on the basis of the availability of vaccine. For early vaccination, orders have also been given by the Government to purchase vaccine doses in sufficient quantity.
Chouhan said that the contribution of corona-volunteers in prevention and rescue of Covid-19 has been commendable. It was informed that the number of corona volunteers across the State has now increased to more than one lakh 16,098, out of which more than 50,000 volunteers have been more active.
About 7899 volunteers are helping out at the vaccination centers. Similarly, people above the age of 18 years have been motivated for vaccination by 12,298 vaccination motivators and 7,242 vaccination helpers.
Apart from this, 7,496 corona volunteers have given assistance in spreading information about medical facilities and 3096 volunteers in transportation for medical facilities.
