Technical and Higher Education Minister and district in-charge Uma Shankar Gupta made a surprise inspection of Umaria district hospital. He inspected registration room, medicine distribution centre, Janani express room, medical consultation room, male-female wards and pathology lab.
Gupta expressed his displeasure on presence of only two doctors in OPD despite signature of all doctors in attendance register. He probed on the spot. Gupta instructed that all the doctors should be present in the outdoor till fixed time so that patients will not have to wait. He also instructed for cleanliness in the hospital. The Minister Gupta unveiled the statue of Maharaja Agrasen. He asked people to ensure equal status to backwards in society.
