Cooperatives Department’s web portal e-Cooperatives has been conferred Award of Appreciation at Visakhapatnam function. The Computer Society of India awards various government departments and undertakings for excellent e-Governance performance at the national-level every year. In the series, Cooperatives Department’s portal was selected by jury for Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2012-13.
Through e-Cooperatives web portal of Cooperatives Department, people are being provided various kind of information about the department. These mainly include online registration of cooperative societies, election-related information about 37 thousand societies registered in the department, membership lists, information regarding office-bearers and audit etc. Directives issued by the department from time to time are also displayed on the portal.
The portal has been developed under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Cooperatives Ajay Dixit and Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Mohan Bhatnagar, AN Siddiqui, Abraham Verghese and Musharraf Sultan of National Informatics Centre are assisting in operating the web portal. Principal Secretary Cooperatives Ajit Kesari and Commissioner Cooperatives Manish Shrivastava are constantly giving suggestions to improve the portal. The Computer Society of India had conferred award to e-Procurement portal of the state government in year 2011-12.
The State Government has decided to formulate Madhya Pradesh data sharing and accessibility policy on the lines of National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy 2012.
