The Special Police Establishment (SPE) of Lokayukta nabbed deputy director of agriculture department accepting Rs 2 lakh for not taking action against a pesticide trader.
According to the Lokayukta officials Salil Sharma the accused deputy director of agriculture department Uttam Singh Jaudon was caught accepting bribe of Rs 2 lakh from victim Maan Singh Rajput who operates two Krishi Sewa Kendra at 11 Mile area and Bhanpur.
On November 21 Uttam Singh Jaudon collected samples from both the centers and later demanded Rs 5 lakh for not taking any action.
The victim lodged complaint and a case was registered under Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation into the matter has been started.
