The Special Task Force (STF) on Tuesday produced the suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from Gwalior Rakshpal Singh Yadav who carried a reward of Rs 10,000 and is accused in the infamous Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), in the district court.
The STF sought police remand for Yadav to seize the amount that had exchanged hands for admissions. The court sent Yadav in police remand till May 24 and Congress leader and accused in police constables recruitment scam Sanjeev Saxena in police remand till May 26.
Yadav was produced in the court of PK Barkhede after he surrendered here at the STF headquarters on Monday. Yadav was absconding ever since his name figured in the case of getting his son passed by forged means in the PMT examination and of getting admission for him in the medical college. The STF had first announced an award of Rs 3,000 on his arrest but later increased it to Rs 10,000.
If sources are to be believed, then Yadav has taken name of Chirayu Medical College MD, Dr Ajay Goenka during interrogation by the STF. Hence, the STF wishes to bring Dr Goenka and Yadav face to face. Yadav has been accused of paying Rs 12 lakh to mediator Sudhir Rai for getting admission for his son Ajit in the medical college.
Meanwhile, the STF also took jailed Congress leader Sanjeev Saxena in police remand from the court till May 26 for interrogation in the police constables recruitment scam. Saxena is in jail in MPPEB’s Dairy Federation recruitment scam. He was arrested in the police constables recruitment scam on Monday after a team of the STF reached central jail to arrest him and after completing formalities of arresting him he was produced in the CJM court today for getting production warrant.
