In order to ensure availability of quality fertilizers, seeds and pesticides to the farmers of the State, an intensive checking drive is being continued constantly by the Department of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture development.
In the initial three days of the campaign, the departmental teams inspected 730 godowns, manufacturers as well as sellers and collected 634 samples.
During the drive, show-cause notices have been issued to 88 seed sellers. The sale of fertilizers from M/s Sudama fertilizers of Patan block in Jabalpur district has been banned owing to the illegal storage. An FIR has been lodged against the company.
