Awadhpuri police have nabbed a domestic help from Betul and recovered gold jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh from his possession on Monday; accused burgled goods on July 1 who escaped with goods from Awadhpuri area.
According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding suspect of stealing in Betul and based on the details police team was sent to Betul and where accused identified as Rupesh Naagle was nabbed. He confessed to have burgled the goods from Dileep Daandhre’s house on July 11.
The victim is his complaint stated that he found that the almirah was targeted and escaped with gold weighing 140 gm worth Rs 7 lakh and Rs 30000 cash on July 11 and raised suspicion that his domestic help Rupesh Naagle was behind the burglary.Based on the details police registered case under section 380 of the IPC and tracked the accused in Betul and later he was arrested.During the investigation police found that the accused was aware of the valuables at the house and was aware of the whereabouts of the victim, which suggested that the miscreant was a close one and which helped in stealing the goods easily.The number of burglaries and stealing committed by the accused is yet to be investigated. The number of accomplices who have helped the miscreants in disposing the stolen goods would be investigated.
