These days from Dean to hospital Superintendent and associate professors are on summer vacation. As a result the doctors are not available to see the patients in OPD nor the Indoor patients getting treatment. The departmental work is also suffering. The state government allowed summer vacation to the doctors of GRMC every year. The leaves are given according to the roster of hospital but now it is the condition of JAH is neither the doctors already on leave have returned but the remaining doctors have also gone on leave. The result is that the dean Dr. GS Patel, hospital Superintendent Dr. JS Sikarwar, cardiac department in charge Dr. Puneet Rastogi are camping in Bhopal in connection with cardiac unit.
The assistant hospital supdt. Dr. Kamal Bhadauria is also on long leave together with Dr. GS Patel in charge Dean Dr. D K Shakya is also on leave. The heads of department also are touring hill stations with their families. So all the arrangements of JAH have derailed. The leaves of doctors of all the medical colleges including GR medical colleges have been cancelled. The reason for cancellation of leave is stated inspection of medical council of India at all places for the third time while another reason is increase in the number of patients. The leave of doctors of Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Rewa medical colleges has been cancelled. Infect the MCI had conducted inspection of all the medical colleges of the state and took out many short comings. The medical education department promised to improve the short comings and conducted inspection again. So the MCI conducted inspection for the 2nd time but found no improvement. But found no improvement the negative report of MCI created crises following which the DME submitted an affidavit to improve the situation in medical education department so the MCI gave last chance and agreed to conduct the inspection by the end of this month. Nearly 100 medical teachers of GR medical teachers are on leave, but on the orders of DME the leave of all the medical teachers are being cancelled. The MCI had recommended cancellation of recognition of 10 seats each in Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur medical colleges and 40 seats of Rewa medical college.
The Dean GR medical college Gwalior Dr. GS Patel said that 9 Am in Bhopal at present on the orders of DME the leave of all the doctors is cancelled. The information is given to all the medical teachers in view of inspection of MCI.
