School Education Minister Archana Chitnis has urged cross sections of society to take resolve of shaping an educated society drawing inspiration from Malala. It is noteworthy that Malala has forcefully advocated the cause of girls’ education while addressing United Nations Organisation on July 13.

Chitnis said that she salutes the spirit of Pakistani girl Malala Yusufzai, who raised her voice against Taaliban, for forcefully advocating the cause of girls’education and reiterating her firm determination to fight against terrorism and religious hegemony. Chitnis said that Taliban had fired shots at Malala in the head last year in a bid to stop her and other girls from going to school. But she fought with great willpower and courage and inspired girls all over the world to imbibe education.

She said that she supports Malala’s assertion that books and pens are our most powerful weapons. A teacher, a book and a pen can change entire world. She has urged girls and their parents in the state and country to take resolve for education.

The School Education Minister said that under leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the State Government has implemented a number of novel schemes for girls’ education, health and protection. Girls education scheme and Beti Bachao Abhiyan are being implemented as movements and not mere schemes.

The Government has initiated measures for ensuring right to education for all. She also appealed to school managements in the State to be sensitive in giving admission to children. Only then we can stand shoulder to shoulder with Malala to remove darkness of ignorance from the world.
