Discussion held on theme ‘Value-based and employment-oriented education’

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the National Education Policy (NEP), initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been implemented with the aim of liberating society and future generations from the ill effects of Lord Macaulay’s colonial education system. It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in implementing the provisions of this new policy.

Dr. Yadav emphasized that this policy is not merely a document, but a means to revive India's cultural identity and self-respect. Education, he said, must not only make an individual self-reliant but also awaken a sense of pride in one’s heritage. The Indian knowledge tradition lays special emphasis on cultivating ethical values in students through personal and historical examples.

Figures like Panna Dhai and Rani Durgavati played pivotal roles in preserving India's rich cultural legacy, and their inspirational stories must be integrated into the current education system.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the session of the Niti Samvad–2025 series, organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Policy Commission at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, on the theme “Value-Based and Employment-Oriented Education for a Strong India and Prosperous Madhya Pradesh.” Senior education thinker Dr. Indresh Kumar also shared his views on the topic.
