Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (HR) & Additional Charge (IS&P) on Friday visited various manufacturing block of BHEL, Bhopal factory taking stock of the products being manufactured here. Rajeev Singh, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal and Avinash Chandra, General Manager (HRM&LGX) were present with him.
While visiting the blocks, Thakur took information about the work being done from the workers, supervisors & executives. He said that we have to focus most on the quality of the products, so that the customers are completely satisfied and reputation of BHEL improves. He especially inquired about the progress of transformer block and motors being made for Vande Bharat in TPTN department.
In the beginning, Thakur held discussion with the General Managers and DROS of Bhopal Unit, reviewing the progress of the work being done in their departments. He said that BHEL is working in a highly competitive environment today and whatever orders we have received are very important for us. We all have to ensure with full commitment that the quality of the products is of the highest standard and there is no delay in delivery. Praising the brand image of BHEL as an engineering company, he said that this company is a reflection of India's industrial development and we have to make every effort to move this company to new heights. He praised the industrial harmony in BHEL, Bhopal and said that the first requirement in any organization is that all the policies of the company are transparent & all the information should reach every section of the employees so that the work culture gets enriched. He also appreciated various forums established in BHEL.
Thakur also held discussions with representatives of various trade unions. He said that the company is going through a tough phase of business competition today, but the company has a good order book and diversification of entry into new product areas as well as new orders in thermal have created a very respectful environment for BHEL in the market. He called upon everyone to work together as a team and complete all the projects on time. He expressed concern over the payment of penalty to the company due to delayed completion of projects and requested everyone to complete every work in a quality manner and on time.
During the discussion, Rajeev Singh praised the work being done in BHEL, Bhopal and the cordiality of the management and employees. He assured Director (HR) and Additional Charge (IS&P) that BHEL, Bhopal will meet the set target and will achieve new heights in every field.
On this occasion Thakur also inaugurated the Multi-Functional Calibrator and Oil Breakdown Voltage tester commissioned at TSD.
