PK Bajpai, Director, Finance, BHEl on Saturday assessed the progress of the BHEl Bhopal unit going on in the Transformer Division for various power projects and held a brief discussion with the officials of the division.
He was here on daylong visit of the State capital. Shashi Ranjan Prasad, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal and all general managers were present during the visit. later, Bajpai interacted with the general managers & DRO’s of each division on the current development of their division laying stress on minimising capital cost. He said that at present times, we not only have to manufacture product using the state of the art technologies at the same time bring down the input cost.
Bajpai said that prior to expenditure for the adoption of new technologies need is to change the mental thought process. To successfully withstand the global competition, we have to constantly modernize our technology as well as come up with innovative designs and meticulous use of both the aspect while reducing the input cost should be ensured. Today Transformer is not only an important product for Bhopal as well as the entire corporation; hence to establish the product as the best product, constant effort is under way to adopt new technologies and bring in all facilities.
Citing the New Transformer block and lab as the best lab he said that the lab has all the similar features and facilities available in the best lab of the world. Bajpai throwing light on the recent market conditions, low order book and other issues of concern said that where there is scope, either in the power sector or industrial sector BHEl is participating in the process and there are possibilities of receiving orders from here.
Earlier, Bajpai laid the foundation stone of the new gate to be constructed near gate no. 01 of the factory to facilitate smooth movement of the employees and other products manufactured in the factory.
