The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Monday rejected the letter petition submitted by Congress general secretary and former State Chief Minister Digvijay Singh regarding the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam case.
Chief Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar and Justice Alok Aradhe rejected the plea on the ground that it was not submitted according to the due process of law. Singh was told that he may submit another petition within a week. The petition, submitted on Saturday expressed lack of confidence in the Special Task Force's ongoing inquiry into the case.
Meanwhile, ridiculing the news of dismissal of petition filed by him in connection with the Vyapam Scam in the Jabalpur High Court, Singh told media persons here on Monday, that he is ready to obey the orders of the court.
"I haven't got any order yet, whatever the High Court will order, I will obey that. If they want me to appear personally, I'll do that, and if they want me to file a fresh petition, I will do that also, but the news of dismissing the petition is not right," said Singh.
Singh also lashed out at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for not replying to his questions on MPPEB Scam.
"He never answers to my questions. I wrote him a letter on which his Minister replied not him. If he replies to me directly then I will tell him how his Government has misused law and order. We don't have any expectations from him. Vyapam Scam he said that the fight will continue and we want CBI inquiry in the case," he added.
The Madhya Pradesh Recruitment Scam or Vyapam Scam pertains to manipulation in the selection process for Government jobs conducted by the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), which is being probed by the Special Task Force (STF).
The STF had on December 18, lodged two FIRs against former State Technical Education Minister laxmikant Sharma and 129 others in connection with alleged irregularities in the examination for the recruitment of Grade II and III Contractual Teachers conducted by MPPEB.
