Congress general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh, in a letter sent to Additional Director General (Addl DG) of Special Task Force, questioned as to why investigation of corruption committed in constables' selection through Transport Department, Patwari and other Government recruitments has not been started. Besides, the Congress leader also dispatched documents which highlighted possibilities of forged admissions in medical colleges.
Singh in his letter to STF - ADGP Sudhir Kumar Sahi on Monday said, "Madhya Pradesh Government has handed over the investigation of admissions done in medical colleges through forged means by the MP State Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) and it is headed by you."
Singh further said that whatever examinations conducted by the MPPEB after 2006 scam were done in most of them by some individuals for their own personal financial benefits including MPPEB officials, Ministers of the State Cabinet, senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He also charged that these officials were hand in gloves with fraudsters directly or indirectly, in this FIT has also been registered by the STF.
He said that he had received several complaints pertaining to admissions in the medical colleges that had not been included in purview of investigation. "I am sending documents through that there are possibilities that fake admissions were provided in the medical colleges," he added.
The points raised by the Congress leader that forged admissions were provided include those selected students whose residential addressees were same, those cases in which students cleared 10th and 12th examinations from Uttar Pradesh and their domicile certificates are doubtful and the cases in that pictures pasted on application form and seal allotment letter are different.
The former chief minister also pointed out in his letter that Joint Director Medical Education MM Shrivastav was posted since long in the same department on the same post and the counselling and admissions of students were held under his supervision. Two clerks of this department had been arrested but till date Shrivastav has not been interrogated despite the fact that he was at the helm of the scam.
"I hope that you would consider these points and would take action against the guilty. If I failed to get any satisfactory response from your end than I would knock doors of the chief justice," he added.
