Digitalising the examinations of State Board, Madhya Pradesh is a big challenge for us,” said Global Head of TCS iON V Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy was in Bhopal on Tuesday to speak on the strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services, TCS iON.
While talking to the media persons, Ramaswamy said, “TCS iON is amongst the largest digital assessment providers that conduct large scale high stake exams digitally.”
“It focuses on educational institutions and exam boards to conduct large scale assessments digitally and effectively,” he added.
While emphasizing on the traditional assessment model he said that it is a time consuming process that suffers multiple challenges like student mal-practices, impersonations and paper leaks.
A Digital Assessment solution tackles these issues by providing end-to-end services right from digitally receiving candidate applications to managing results, he added.
Informing further, he said that over the last five years, TCS iON has seen a significant interest amongst recruitment and exam bodies in Madhya Pradesh to move towards digital assessments. More than 62 lakh candidates have been through digital assessments conducted by TCS iON at over 25 Digital Zones across the state.
“In Madhya Pradesh we also carried out a pilot project with the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) few years back. But with the lack of funds MPBSE currently is not showing interest in digitalizing the examination,” added Ramaswamy.
