Diggy cautions PM, Shah over Kashmir

Attacking the Prime Minister and the Home minister over Kashmir policy, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh urged the two for acting judiciously or India would lose Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh who has criticised the Centre’s action on J&K continued his assault on the BJP government on Monday claiming both PM Modi and Amit Shah have burnt their hands on their Kashmir policy. “I wish to urge PM Modi, Amit Shah and Ajit Doval (NSA) to act judiciously or we could lose out on Kashmir,” warned Singh.

For obvious reasons, Singh’s bitter words have met with stringent reaction from the BJP. After senior BJP leader Subramanian Swami slammed the Congress leader for his statement, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti too pulled him up.

Reminding Singh his recent lok sabha loss, Bharti speaking to the media at Tikamgarh district claimed that he (Singh) should stop thinking about Kashmir, Bhopal has slipped from his hands. Everything else is also slipping out of your hands, added the firebrand leader.

“There is nothing left like a party in Congress as everyone was offering his/ her own individual opinion on things,” she opined. Nothing except for Gandhis is visible in Congress.

Lauding PM Modi and Amit Shah for recent steps on J&K, Bharti added none since the days of Nehru showed the courage to abrogate article 370 but Modi-Shah exhibited courage.
