Expectations of the people are high from the newly launched ‘Dial-100’ service and police would work to fulfill the expectation, said Director General of Police (DGP) Surendra Sinh at the review of the Dial-100 service.

Sinh said that as the services are new, it would face problems, which would be addressed and rectified as the earliest. Every system at the start face issues but the problems could be solved.

In the review, video conferencing with Superintendents of Police of different districts was organised and during this Sinh told the senior officials on video conference that based on their experience they could change the base point and should inform for the same so that State Control Room could incorporate the change.

He said that if required the vehicles could be used for patrolling during night and the same should be informed to the State Control Room. Two additional armed police constables could be deployed with the vehicle in areas which require special attention.

Trained police personnel should be deployed in the vehicle and other police personnel of the district should be trained for the Dial-100 vehicle and the process of the training should be maintained continuously.

Among other measures, Sinh emphasised that as the vehicles are new they should not be rushed speedily and special attention should be paid on driving in controlled manner. These vehicles should not be deployed for other works like warrants executions. Chairs and stools should be provided for the police personnel deployed with the vehicles.

Dewas, Ratlam, Satna, Morena, Khandwa, Chhindwara, Chhatarpur and Sehore would receive vehicles at the end of the month and training of the police personnel should be ensured.
