Six-year-old Devraj, who had undergone liver transplant and his parents called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the latter’s residence. On the initiative of Chief Minister Chouhan, liver transplant of Devraj of Dhabla Dhir village of Shajapur district was successfully carried out in a private hospital in Bhopal.
Devraj has recovered fully now. Devraj and his parents had come to the Chief Minister’s residence to express their gratitude to Chief Minister Chouhan. Chouhan greeted Devraj by feeding him sweets and wished him a healthy and long life.

Six-year-old Devraj, who had undergone liver transplant and his parents called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the latter’s residence. On the initiative of Chief Minister Chouhan, liver transplant of Devraj of Dhabla Dhir village of Shajapur district was successfully carried out in a private hospital in Bhopal.

It may be noted that 6-year-old Devraj was suffering from Wilson’s disease of liver. Liver transplant was to be done for the treatment. The financial condition of Devraj's parents was not such that they could get their son treated. Chief Minister Chouhan came to know about this situation from the media, so he decided to get Devraj's treatment done at government expense. Devraj's liver transplant was successfully carried out at Bhopal’s Bansal Hospital. Chief Minister Chouhan had also visited the hospital himself to know about the well being of Devraj.
