Collector P Narhari has told in a meeting of the officers that various construction works held up due to the elections should now be taken up and completed fast. He said that 50 per cent of schemes are still incomplete and this is the responsibility of the departmental officers.
Narhari said that the relief amount to the farmers who have suffered crop loss due to hailstorms should be distributed immediately. The leave of officers and employees should be cancelled till the completion of the works. The Collector regretted that only a sum of `5 cr has been distributed so far while a total amount of `26.5 cr had to be distributed. Narhari also issued orders to resolve the water problem in the rural and urban areas. The SDMs were told to deal with any disease before it becomes epidemic. He directed all the officers to take rounds in their areas especially in Saharia.
