The ‘Tulsi Jayanti Samaroh’, dedicated to the birth anniversary of Saint Mahakavi Goswami Tulsidas, will be organized by the Madhya Pradesh Government Culture Department on the social media platform on Monday at 06:00 pm.
Tulsi Das was a Ramanandi Vaishnava saint and poet, renowned for his devotion to the deity Rama. He wrote several popular works in Sanskrit and Awadhi, but is best known as the author of the epic Ramcharitmanas, a retelling of the Sanskrit Ramayana based on Rama’s life in the vernacular Awadhi.
He has been acclaimed as one of the greatest poets in Hindi, Indian, and world literature. The impact of Tulsidas and his works on the art, culture and society in India is widespread and is seen to date in vernacular language, Ramlila plays, Hindustani classical music, popular music, and television series
On the occasion Ravana slaughter from Mahakavi Tulsikrit Sriramcharitra Manas, and Shriram Rajabhishek Leela will be presented by the artists of Sri Avadh Adarsh Ramlila Mandal from Ayodhya.
The ‘Shravan Utsav’, centered on the art expressions of nature worship, is organised by the Madhya Pradesh Government Culture Department on the social media platform on Monday at 07:45 pm.
In this event, Ujjain-introductory film ‘Mahadev’ will presented. Besides, a watercolor picture exhibition of eighty-four Mahadevs, Saavan and Varsha songs in Nimari folk songs / ecclesiastical singing and tabla, pakhawaj and mridang under nad. This one day event will be featured on YouTube channel of Triveni Museum, Ujjain and YouTube Channel of Tribal Museum, Bhopal.
