During the lunch break in Bhopal, the employees gathered at the Satpura Bhawan premises and handed over a memorandum to the Chief Secretary regarding their 17 demands, including old pension. Before this there was also a meeting and a rally.

State Secretary of Class III Employees Union Umashankar Tiwari said that along with Bhopal, a memorandum in the name of the Chief Secretary was handed over to the collector in all the district headquarters on Thursday. At the same time, on April 29, a protest will be held at Neelam Park Jehangirabad in Bhopal.

Contributory pension scheme is applicable for recruitment officer-employees after January 1, 2005. Under this, 10% of the employees and the same amount is contributed by the government. According to the employee organisation, this amount is invested in the stock market. Due to this, the future of the employees has become dependent on the stock market.

On retirement, 60% amount is given to the employee in cash and the remaining 40% amount was paid as pension from the proceeds received as interest. According to the Old Pension Restoration Association, in the old pension policy, almost half of the salary was received as pension. With the increase in DA, the pension also used to increase. There is nothing like this in the new policy.
