Sensation prevailed in the area after a decomposed head of a body was found at a farm in Bhainsakhedi under Khajuri police station area on Thursday.
Nothing which could establish the identity or any other information was found at the spot except clothes of a woman.
Police said that only head is found of the body which is intentionally done to hide the identity of the deceased and remaining body part is still not recovered. At the moment it is not possible to ascertain that the decomposed head is of woman or a man as the report is awaited.
The decomposed head was found when the farm owner Daulatram Sahu had gone for yielding of crops with harvester. The DNA test of the head would be done in the investigation.
The area remains deserted due to which no one has spotted anything which could help in revealing details regarding the incident.
After the preliminary investigation the decomposed body was sent for the testing and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The information of missing people of the area and nearby areas would be checked which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased. All possibilities are been investigated.
The possibility of killing the woman and later dumping her head at the farm and remaining part at some other place would not be ruled out.
The owner of the farm Daulatram would be questioned in the further investigation.
During the lockdown Sahu claimed that he and his family has not visited the farm which would be checked. The locals would be quizzed in the investigation .
