On the second day of Graduate Grooming Workshop, two sessions were held at Maulana Azad Central library. The two workshops ‘The Debating Skills’ and ‘Thought Process and Opinion Building’ were held here on Wednesday. The workshop is being organized by Civil Services Club, in which about 250 graduates participated. The workshop sessions began with the first session on Debating Skills (Art of Debating) by expert Abhishek Sharma famous debater.

Abhishek said that speeches and debates are differentbecause the speech is given for clapping, the debate is done to defeat the front. The biggest strength of debate is better understanding of the opponent, not only his logic, but to defeat him without understanding his background, thinking, emotion and intellectual level becomes impossible.

He said that ‘Say something unexpected’. While giving more tips, Abhishek told the graduates to listen to the world's great speakers to become a good debater. The first one minute is the golden minute. “One minute of your start in debit determines whether you are winning or losing because the listener decides in just a minute to be heard or ignored,” he added. He further said, “Always speak in a loud voice. A loud voice is a sign of yourself, so speak at every opportunity as much as possible so that people's attention can be drawn to you.” Do 70 % of communications with body language and lastly he said that debate does not mean screaming.

The next session on Thought Process and Opinion Building was conducted by Professor Gyan Vardhan Pathak Former Head, Political Science. Addressing the graduates, he said, “It is necessary for us to think that we constantly read, think constantly and write continuously.” Every person's thoughts are made up of three things i.e. mind intellect and ego. “Our thoughts come out of us, they do not need to look towards any external inspiration,” he added. Nowadays the competition is more and it seems that the competition has increased in every field but the truth is that the competition is no longer left, because winning people see us in a race, only 25% of them are disciplined. Only 10% of those 25% people are hardworking and only 1% of them know to read and only they can give competition.
