Dalits not safe in Chouhan Govt: loP

leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government in Madhya Pradesh has implemented law of Britishers.

In a statement, Singh said that Ujjain district Collector has come out with such an order by directing the dalit family to get prior permission for taking out a marriage procession.

Probably, even during the British Raj this would have not taken place, Singh said, adding that on the one hand such dictats are coming to fore from the Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government, while on the other hand, BJP leaders are engaged in publicity stunt by staying at the house of dalits and dining with them.

Singh alleged that the order of Ujjain district administration for dalits to inform in advance and seek permission for taking out marriage procession, is a blot on the social harmony. He claimed that in the Shivraj Government, Dalits are being denamed under a conspiracy. “This order suggests that Dalits are not safe in Shivraj Government,” he added.

Recently, in Dhar district, during police recruitment, the scheduled castes and scheduled tribe community members went for physical examination during recruitment, were marked with SC and ST on their bare chests. Besides, during the similar recruitment drive, female candidates were medically examined along with the males in the same room.
