The dacoits wounded four members of the family of an engineer and escaped with gold, cash and mobile phones in the Omaxe hills colony in Rajendra nagar area of Indore. ASP Indore Prashant Choube said that engineer Gourav Tyagi and his family were the victim of dacoity.
On Thursday night, 6 dacoits entered the house of Gourav Tyagi by opening the door with master key and first awoke Vishal Tyagi and kept a knife on his neck and covered him with blanket and switched off two mobiles lying on bed and kept with them.
Later, the dacoits overpowered Aashi Tyagi and kept knife on her neck and snatched golden finger ring from her. Then dacoits searched the almirahs of Vishal and Aashi room. Later the two dacoits stayed with Vishal and Aashi on the ground floor and the rest dacoits went on the first floor and entered into the room of Gourav and Gargi Tyagi. The dacoits awoke the Gourav Tyagi and Gargi Tyagi and forced them to open the almirah and in between as the Gargi Tyagi shouted for help the dacoits attacked the couple with iron road and other weapons.
Listening the loud noise of skirmish between the couple and dacoits the dacoits standing on ground floor rushed to help the dacoits on the first floor. Vishal Tyagi and Aashi Tyagi also rushed to first floor. When the dacoits felt that now they will be caught they ran away with gold cash and mobile. Listening to the cry of the tyagi family neighbors also reached on the spot and chased the dacoits who pelted stones and bricks on neighbors while running away.
DIG Indore Manish Kapuria, police force, SFL team and sniffer dog also reached on the spot soon after the dacoity. The neighbors told that the Omaxe hills colonizers has made a magnificent entry gate to attract buyers but has not covered the colony with boundary walls. Also, the colonizers promised CCTV cameras and security guards for security of colony which are not available.
The resident of colony told that they have come from other cities of MP and other states to Indore as it is clean city and various industries are there in Pithampur industrial area but now they feel that the security and safety of the people are at risk in Indore so now they will leave Indore and go back to their hometown. It is to be noted that most of the plots in various colonies are purchased by the people from outside Indore and if the crime is not checked timely by police thousands of people who are planning to settle in Indore will go to some other cities of India which will be a big blow on the colonization and industrialization of Indore city.
