The police, after a short encounter, arrested a dacoit who was carrying a reward of `25,000 on his head when he came to commit kidnapping and loot at Huravali Chauraha.
The dacoit is stated to be brother of Vakila Gurjar who carried a reward of one lack. He was committing dacoity after becoming the new chief of the gang of Vakila Gurjar after his brother’s death. The police stated the name of accused as Pappu Alias Dulare Alias Vijendra Gurjar.
According to the additional SP Virendra Jain, the SP Gwalior Santosh Kumar Singh received a tip from an informer that the dacoit Pappu Alias Dulare Alias Vijendra Gurjar s/o Bharat Singh Gurjar carrying a reward of 25,000 was to come to Huravali Chauraha to commit kidnapping and loot. The informer also said that the IG Chambal had announced a reward of `15,000 and DIG Gwalior `10,000.
Acting on information the SP formed a team with CSP Morar Neeraj Pandey, TI Ratnesh Tomar, SI CS Tomar, head Constable Mahendra Kushawah, Dinesh Gaur, Surendra Singh constable Dinesh Tomar, Shiv Pratap Singh, Mulayam Singh Devendra Tomar, Harendra Singh and Manoj Verma and said the team to nab the dacoit. The police team nabbed the dacoit at Huravali Chauraha at 4 am and recovered a revolver and five live cartideges. The police also recovered a bike without number.
The dacoit came into the light when he kidnapped three Marwaris from Gopalpura police station area of district Shivpuri in November 2007. The dacoit later on murdered the Marwaris.
He dobouted the Marwaris for the murder of Brother Vakila Gurjar. After that he committed kidnapping in Gopalpura, Ghatigaon, Belgarha, Karahal to create atmosphere of terror.
