Cybre crime cell Bhopal has nabbed a miscreant from Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on the charge of targeting high society women and blackmailing them using their photograph and creating fake facebook profile.
Police said that a complaint was lodged by Prateek Bhargava of Bawadiya Kalan regarding creating of fake face book profile in the name of Raveena Choudhary using her sister’s photographs and details and the miscreant has shared the link of the fake profile with his wife and threatened her to provide ransom or else he would create a fake profile using her photographs and would defame her.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 500, 506, 469 and 384 of the IPC and section 66 C and 67 of the IT Act.
During the investigation police found that the miscreant was operating from Bharatpur of Rajasthan and on the receipt of the information with the help of Rajasthan police, he was nabbed from Manjhigaon village of Rajasthan.
The accused was nabbed and was identified as Gajaraj Singh Faujdar.
The accused is a farmer and used to work with water supply department. The accused got job as compensation after his father’s death but after sometime as he was not provided job on his father’s post he left the job and starting farming and used to live at home during which he got idea of creating fake profile and blackmail women and girls.
Accused confessed that he used to target women and girls of well do to families to extort maximum money. Police have started investigation the number of victims which have been blackmailed by the accused and amount collected by the accused.
