Madhya Pradesh DGP Rishikumar Shukla has said that cyber crimes are posing a major challenge before police these days, not in the State but in the country too.

These days criminals have also adopted new technologies to commit crimes. To handle the cyber crime it is more important for us to get aware and updated with the well versed surroundings.

DGP Shukla also said during his visit to Gwalior that we are in continuous efforts to upgrade police Department and we will definitely control the crime.

He was talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday. He said that he was worried about the road accidents. He further stated that if the four-wheelers ply on the road with speed of more than 80 km per hour, then it is quite obvious that accident would take place.

“Thus, we have prepared ourselves as those vehicles that will exceed the speed more than 80 km per hour, the vehicle owners would be challanned along with fine against them. In this respect we will also cancel the driving license of the driver,” he added.

For the police personnel who are residing in police lines, the DGP said, “We will improve the condition of police houses and we will provide all respective facilities so that the family members of our employees will avail them,” he said, adding that the population of Gwalior is around 15 lakh and we are in deep concern to provide safety to the citizens round the clock.

He further said that police are putting 100 per cent efforts to arrest the culprits and in whole region we will conduct this drive efficiently.

“We will install the CCTV cameras to the important squares and respective areas from where the police department will observe the activities of the scoundrels. We will also implement the effective system in the police station so that from constables to Police Station in-charge can trace the criminals with their coordination work,” he added.
