The Crime branch has arrested robbery accused who were notorious criminals of Indore and main accused with the help of his friend used to commit robbery; valuables and bike used in the robbery were recovered from the accused robbed in Shahpura on August 3.
The victim Shruti Kaushal was on her way back home after the gym was robbed of her bag carrying cash, mobile phone near Dharani restaurant at around 10 in the morning on August 3. Shahpura police registered case under section 392 of the IPC.
The accused Yogesh, who has been arrested in the past in a serious crime like Section 399, 402, 379 Bhadvi 25, 27 Arms Act in Banganga police station of Indore. The vehicle used in the incident was a Pulsar motorcycle, which has been recovered.
In her complaint she stated that after she reached Dharani near Shahpura , two unidentified boys came from behind on a Pulsar motorcycle and snatched the bag chain she fell and sustained serious injuries.
A team of crime branch was formed and accused were tracked and belonged to Indore; they were involved in robbery, dacoity, theft and other heinous crimes in Indore in the past. The interrogation of the accused is on and possibly other major offences would be revealed by the accused.
The two accused identified as Yogesh Tekam(21) and Mahendra Chaudhary(28) were arrested by the crime branch. Yogesh was staying at his brother Rajesh Tekam's house in Bimakunj and along with his old partner he was committing robbery.
The accused used to target women on scooter carrying bags after chasing them, they used to loot at a secluded place.
Earlier Yohesh accused was booked under section 399,402 of the IPC and 25,27 Arms Act by Banganga police of Indore. The accused was also booked for three crimes in the past by Banganga police of Indore.
