Crime branch Bhopal has nabbed an absconding accused and recovered a stolen tractor trolley and 2 motorcycles worth Rs 10 lakh recovered; the accused mainly targets the tractor drivers.
After taking a lift from the tractor drivers and sedating them accused would escape with the tractor.
The accused committed crimes in Bhopal, Raisen, Vidisha. Cases of embezzlement, fraud and vehicle theft are registered against the accused in the past. The accused is absconding for many years, the arrest warrant is issued from the court but he manages to remain absconding.
Crime branch team received information of a suspect near Habibganj informed that a person of around 45 to 50 years age at the Jamboree ground is trying to sell a motorcycle which is a stolen one.
The team reached the spot and a man with a Hero-Honda Splendor motorcycle was detained who was identified as Durg Singh of Shanti Nagar Bilkhiria Bhopal.
In the investigation he confessed that Hero Honda motorcycle Splendor number MP04 MX78 was recovered. Later a tractor trolley from Bhojpur tiraha Raisen was recovered which was stolen two years ago.
The accused asks for the hire of a tractor on the pretext of carrying goods or contacts the truck drivers on the pretext of taking a lift.
The accused knows very well that the driver is fond of drinking alcohol, taking advantage of this, at a secluded place on the way, the driver drinks a lot of alcohol, due to which the driver becomes very intoxicated, only then the accused escapes with the tractor after seeing the opportunity and takes the tractor. In the incident, he takes them to the border villages of Rajasthan and sells them.
