Crime branch Bhopal arrested 3 bookies and seized betting slips and cash worth Rs 15400 from Indra Nagar; one of the accused escaped and still absconding.
After receiving information of the notorious Bhaiya of Teela placing betting team raided the spot and arrested the accused.A man was kept on a daily wage of Rs 300 for writing bets. The Crime branch got information of betting behind Indra Nagar Sulabh Complex.
Taking quick action by the team on the information, the crime branch's raided and nabbed three accused identified as Firoz Khan(38), Shabbir Khan (38) and Salman Khan(25) who had satta number on betting slip and cash Rs.15400 and on Satta numbers written slips in which the accounts of lakhs of rupees were written were confiscated.
The three accused told on interrogation that all work for Bhaiya Kachra on Rs 300 per day. A case has been registered against Firoz, Shabbir Khan, Salman Khan and absconding accused Bhaiyya Kachra.
A case under A Gambling Act was registered against the accused. The accused arrested and absconding have a past criminal record and investigation has been started. Mobile phones recovered from the accused would be investigated for obtaining details of other bettings and nexus.
